<Notes>
<DescriptionText><text>
A punch group is a defined configuration for a specific plate punch operation.
Punch operations generally involve activation of one of more punches (groups)
in either an 'extended' or 'retracted' position. Thirty two punch group
configurations are available. Each configuration specifies:

Group name (to a maximum 30 characters)
</Text></ListItem>
<ListItem><Text>
Punches to be activated
</Text></ListItem>
<ListItem><Text>
Punches to be moved away from their 'initialized' position
</Text></ListItem>
<ListItem><Text>
Offset value for subscan adjustment (in +/- microns)
</Text></ListItem>
</UnnumberedList></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
All punches to be activated in a specific group will show a '1' in under the
punch number in the 'motors' column of the display.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
All punches are initialized to their 'retracted' position. If a punch can move
to an extended poosition AND if extension is required for a specific group
configuration a '1' will appear under the punch number in the 'positions column
of the display. Most punches don't have the capability to extend. These are
considered permanently retracted by default.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
The offset defines an adjustment value specified in microns. This is used to
mechanically 'fine tune' the subscan positioning of the media in the punches.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
Punch configuration information is stored in nonvolatile memory and therefore
persists through power cycles.
